Last Day of School

 Last day of 2nd grade... onto 3rd for this girl!

We sure loved Ms. Hannah, she was absent today because she was

attending a High School Graduation

Kelson was awarded 3 awards in Mathematics!!

I am soooo proud!!! He struggled at the beginning of the year

but really worked hard and the payoff is sweet!

has finished 8th grade is onto 9th next year!!

Long Time No Bloggy

I am soooo behind!!

This crazy lady, you see here in the picture, started school!

yep! I took this pic right before I walked into class for the first time...

Since then I have not entirely forgotten about my lil Blog... or my Birdies,

I was just adjusting to my new schedule

and lost a couple more strands of hair along the way ;)

We have been quite busy...

It's Red Ribbon Week at our Elementary School

Where kids pledge to be Drug Free

and in doing so... each day is a different dress up day

to show "We want to be... Drug Free!!"

 Today is Crazy hair day!!!

 Last year, the color lingered (stained) for a couple of weeks

your hair is lookin kinda Crazy!!!

School's Out For Summer

Now that school has been officially out for a little over 2 weeks,

I must rewind to the last day of school...

Brayden passed the 7th grade... he will be going into 8th

breathe, breathe, breathe... 

It will be nice to not wake up so early everyday for the next couple of months...

Kelson finished 2nd grade with almost straight A's... he is excited for 3rd grade!

Kenley made it through 1st grade, loving the fact she got to eat lunch at school everyday... 

she is excited to be entering 2nd grade!

On the last day of school, Brayden was asked to come and talk about his 1st and 4th grade teacher who is retiring... We love you Mrs. Bailey.. 

Brayden was excited to have you as a teacher, twice!!

I am proud of my boy, and pretty impressed as to how he spoke in front of a crowd...

We also said farewell to our beloved principal, Ms. Martz

She is leaving the district to attend Law School

Brayden did AWESOME!!!

Below was his last match where he placed 3rd overall in his weight division

He went from: "Mom.. I joined the wrestling team today and tomorrow is my first match"
to: Junior Varsity
to: Varsity
and is only in 7th grade
he is 5'5'' and 112 of pure power! grrrrrrrr!

School Holiday Program

Today was the Elementary Holiday program...
My little birdies sung their little hearts out...
and beamed with smiles as they looked into the audience
I love the twinkle in their eyes and tiny little waves...
so much... I couldn't get a proper picture
not to mention I forgot my camera... (thank goodness for camera phones)
and then there was the mobs of parents trying to get pictures of their own kids
Sigh...
All in all, it was a really cute and fun program

Back to School

So excited for the first day of school....
and going to a brand new building to boot!

Out with the Old... and In with the New

Our old Elementary School...
R.I.P Old Woodstock
Ripped down this summer to make access and parking for the Brand New school
that was built behind our school all last year...
We watched as they tore her down, section by section for weeks :(

Woodstock Elementary... Where my siblings, myself, and my children went to school
My oldest was the last 6th grade class to go through the 6th grade pod

They managed to save this from the old building and now it's forever in our new building

Kenley is in 1st grade and Kelson is in 2nd...
I think they were more excited about their new lockers then they were of anything else
