She turned 90 in October...

Scouts :: Winter Camp Out

Party Time

This year for Kenley's Birthday party we went to Color Me Mine
This cute little ceramic art studio where you paint ceramic figurines
I have always wanted to have a little girl party here,
ever since it opened years ago, before I even had a little girl...
It was worth the wait!!

We colored on T-shirts so paint wouldn't get on our clothes...
didn't help much for Kenley's skirt... she used it as her cloth wipe!

Everyone chose something different to paint...
and then the Birthday Girl gets a plate with each of her friends thumb prints on it...
I think they make those thumb prints into balloons?
can't wait to see it after it gets fired in the kiln

I painted her hand and had her put her hand print on the plate

She was very loved by her friends who showered her with birthday presents

Two Birthday's a Week Apart

We had a family party this past Sunday for Brayden and Kenley's Birthdays

Ha! Kenley was pretty excited she beat her big brother in blowing out the candles...
he only has six more than she does ;)

Ken was excited to open her little piggy bank from Aunt Patsy...
she set right to work drawing her art on it :)

Grandma Connie has been busy this year making a blanket for each of her grand kids... She uses materials from Great Grandma Pearl, Great Grandma Lindsey and from her own wardrobe...
It's fun to see some of Grandma's shirts and dresses sewn into these quilts...
The kids love them!

Let's Talk Football

Our Boys did it!!!!
We came... We played... We conquered!!!
After a grooling game in freezing temperatures and 3 inches of snow with it still falling...
They WON!!!
It wasn't looking like we were going to since our head coach got ejected from the game..
it put a damper on these boys...
Hillcrest scored a touchdown on us, but we fought hard...
We moved those Huskies down to the goal line at the last seconds of the game and scored a touchdown with 7 seconds remaining on the clock!!
Putting us into overtime...
Hillcrest Huskies had the ball, but we held them
With only 10 yards to work with and 4 downs it was our turn...
These boys became a moving wall pushing that team
back into the end zone to score our winning Goal!!!
Hoots and Hollers were heard all around...
Tears were shed
By far the best game EVER!!!
our outcome this season 4-1 before playoffs
we are now 5-1 and hoping to be 6-1 next Saturday for the Championship game!
We are taking First Place Baby!!!

It was such an awesome experience to wait for them at the Finish Line to cheer them on
